About Me
Hello! My name is Darcy Wylie, and I am the face behind Sunshine Education, LLC. That’s me in the picture to the right with my daughters. We live in Naples, Florida along with my husband and our two dogs. I am a Florida native, and our family loves it here. We love being outdoors- whether it’s fishing on the boat, four wheeling at mudholes, or playing sports. I am a youth leader at our church, and coach my daughter’s little league team.
Homeschooling
I created Sunshine Education when I decided to leave the classroom to homeschool my girls (after lots of research and deliberation). This has allowed me to become familiar with homeschool curriculums, requirements, and evaluations. Homeschooling has been a wonderful decision for our family, and I enjoy helping other families who are considering or are currently homeschooling.

Next, a little information about my background in education. I have nine years of classroom teaching experience in the following roles:
- ESE Resource Teacher (writing IEPs, working with students on their IEP goals, facilitating IEP meetings)
- K-2 Autism Teacher (self-contained classroom)

- 5th Grade Teacher
- 6-8th Summer School Teacher
